How do people find out about this stuff? Is there some central (yes, my love of bureaucracy is showing) site that lists upcoming exchanges and fests and what-have-you? Do you google “glee fic exchange,” or what? I feel so out of it.

It’s the first day of what would be Blaine’s junior year at Dalton, and all of the Warblers are there except for him, which is strange, because Blaine’s supposed to be their lead soloist this year.
Found this on the kurt_blaine weekly rec post. I loved it. Thank god somebody besides Kurt and Quinn care. This was incredibly heartening, even though it was sad. Why is this not on your LJ, hedge?

This is the most amazing post of amazement my amazed eyes have ever gazed upon. Do you always work like this? I started re-reading (Def) again today. It’s unhealthy, how much I love that story. Especially since I’d rather re-read it for the third time than work on my own story. (Not precisely true; I can do both.) I’ve been trying so hard not to think about it. This may be the WIP that cures me of ever reading a WIP ever again. (I haven’t started reading any new ones, I’ll have you know.)

Holy crap. The premise isn’t something I’d normally be eager to read, but the writing? The writing is fucking fantastic. *sobs* You gave a new author to stalk. Why? I’m not fangirling enough people already?

- Kurt attends and graduates NYADA but the only acting job he lands is as a face character at Disney Land where he runs into Blaine, his ex, who plays one of the princes. Shenanigans ensue.
So much love for these ideas. So, so, SO much love. Follow where the muse takes you, of course, but man, I hope she takes you there.
I have to watch the rest of Citizen Kane and figure out what the hell is happening. I also have to be ready analyze angles and types of shots in class. This movie is just, idk…it has a lot of talking and a lot of shadows. I don’t really know what I’m supposed to be getting from the camera angles, though I’m not paying as much attention as I probably should be.
I usually hate people who say, “Oh, you’ve got to see that on the big screen,” because it just screams of pretentiousness and snobbery most of the time. But there are two movies I would definitely recommend seeing on the big screen: Citizen Kane and Lawrence of Arabia. CK was never one of my favorite movies, but if someone invited me to see it at the theater this weekend? I’d go in a heartbeat. It’s qualitatively different when seen large. More human, I think. I think the camera angles were technically significant (as in, no one had ever done that kind of thing before; like Hitchcock’s Rope).
Lawrence of Arabia is one of my all-time favorite movies. I’d watch it on the big screen, small screen; I’d watch it multiple times a day.
